Privacy Policy
Density Unit Converter is built to be private. The app does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the Density Unit Converter mobile and desktop application (the “App”) published by Density Technology (“we”, “us”) for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Android.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect personal data such as your name, email, contacts, location, or device identifiers. We have no servers that receive your data and no account system.
Data stored on your device
Your preferences are stored only on your device and never transmitted to us:
- Your selected units, categories, and last-entered values.
- App settings (such as significant digits and theme).
- A local cache of the most recent currency exchange rates, with the date they were fetched.
You can remove all of this at any time by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.
Currency exchange rates (the only network request)
When you use the Currency category, the App downloads public exchange-rate data once a day over an encrypted HTTPS connection from a free, public data source (the open-source exchange-api project, delivered via the jsDelivr and Cloudflare content-delivery networks).
- The request is anonymous. It contains no account, no identifier, and no personal information — only a request for the current rates.
- As with any internet request, the content-delivery network may process standard technical information such as your IP address to deliver the file; this is handled under those providers’ own privacy policies. We receive none of it.
- An internet connection is required only to refresh rates. All other conversions work fully offline.
Third-party app stores
If you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms may collect standard, aggregate information (such as download and crash statistics) under their own privacy policies. We do not receive personal data from them.
Children’s privacy
The App is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Security
Because the App keeps your data on your own device and sends no personal information anywhere, there is no personal data for us to lose. Network requests use HTTPS.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised accordingly.
